Women In Technology - Friday Links - 25/11/2022
Hi there,
Here is our selection of links for this weekend:
Reach for the stars
ESA announced on Wednesday the new generation of astronauts and we are all delighted!

ESA managed gender parity as well as the first parastronaut. And if ESA can do it for space, sure we can do that too!
Even more exciting is that one of our CERN colleagues, Slawosz Uznanski from EPC (bottom right) is one of the astronauts on reserve.
Slawosz was born dreaming to become a cosmonaut and he’s now ready for the stars!

For inspiration you can have a look at the new astronaut profiles:

ESA’s target for 2025 is 40%. The percentage of female staff at ESA has risen systematically over the last five years, currently standing at 29%. The progress on the gender representation in leadership positions is also remarkable: in 2021, the share of women in top management positions reached a record level of 17%, a significant increase considering a value of 8% in 2016.
