CERN in the media from 1-7 December 2025

Published on December 10, 2025

 Dear all,

Please find below the media monitoring report for the period from 1 to 7 December 2025. These press cuttings have been selected from 1226 results identified by our media monitoring system.

This week’s coverage included an interview with Fabiola Gianotti on RSI’s evening news program last Wednesday. Additionally, the news agency EFE published an article based on a previously held media breakfast, which focused on her decade as Director-General and CERN’s future.

CMS’s first measurement of the quantum properties of a tetraquark family was also covered following the publication of a paper in the journal Nature last week. In addition, a paper published in Nature Communications in November, about ALPHA experiment's new technique for faster production of antihydrogen, continues to receive media coverage.

Other mentions included coverage of AI applications in CMS and an upcoming project by the Dutch institutions, Maastricht University and Nikhef, to test strong CP violation in ALICE.

We wish you a great week and a wonderful festive season ahead,

 The Press Team
