Please find below the media monitoring report for the period 7–13 September 2026. These press cuttings have been selected from the 1633 results identified by our media monitoring system.
Last week’s coverage opened with a video from Associated Press covering the visit of the UK’s Prince Edward to CERN, while Mark Thomson’s visit to the Austrian Academy of Sciences also received attention from Austrian national media.
The FCC was also in the news, with a socioeconomic impact assessment published in Le Pays Gessien, as well as another article from the same outlet following a media visit to ALICE in the context of the public debate.
Several articles followed recent media visits to CERN. Crux published an article exploring the present and future of the Organisation, while Carac TV featured CERN in the context of a TPG-sponsored section (starting at 19:00).
ARTE released an explanatory video on antimatter, featuring LHCb physicist Yasmine Ahmis and including a mention to CERN’s research on the topic.
Finally, coverage also marked the 18th anniversary of the LHC, looking back at some of its highlights over the years.
