Last week’s coverage included numerous articles on the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics. Among them, the Italian RAI highlighted Francis Halzen’s previous association with CERN from 1969 to 1971.
Meanwhile, Le Messager covered the opening of the new exhibition "Why? It matters" exploring the future of particle physics. Content creator Amal Warsi (@geneva.aesthetics) attended the inauguration of the exhibition, and published a video following the event.
Other coverage focused on CERN’s scientific activities. ScienceDaily reported on a CMS result providing evidence that quarks travelling through quark–gluon plasma leave behind fluid-like wakes, shedding light on the properties of matter in the early Universe.
Finally, EN World covered CERN from an unusual angle, using its gaming club as an entry point to introduce the Organisation's research and activities, following a visit to CERN.
We wish you a great week,
The Press Team
