WIT Community Annual Review

Mentoring

The applications to become a Mentor or a Mentee have opened since Wednesday 1st March.
Become a mentor: Fill out the application form and let us know in which areas you feel comfortable mentoring others. Registration is open all year round, but if you would like to become a mentor in 2023, please fill it out by 23 April 2023.
Become a mentee: Fill out the application form by 2 April 2023. The more information you provide, the higher the chances of finding you a suitable mentor.

Django Girls is returning to CERN on 21 and 22 April 2023!
To celebrate the International Girls in ICT Day, CERN will organise another in-person edition of Django Girls. This programming workshop for girls and women aged 15 and over will take place on the evening of Friday, 21 April 2023 and all day on Saturday, 22 April 2023. With coaching by CERN tutors, the participants will learn how to create a blog and launch it online. Django Girls will be held at IdeaSquare, in English and French.
This year again we will be looking for volunteer coaches to lead the workshop. Registration for volunteering will open in the coming days; keep an eye on the CERN Bulletin and WIT communications!

Our HR Learning and Development Colleagues are hosting a series of micro talks on different topics. 
The first one, very relevant to diversity and inclusion, will be about “Challenging Excellence: Bias as a Threat to Meritocracy”.
It will take place on 28 April 2023 at 2pm in the Council Chamber (and webcasted as well).
