CERN in the media from 25/09/2023 to 01/10/2023

Published on October 5, 2023

Dear all,

Please find below the media monitoring report from 25 September to 1 October 2023. These press cuttings have been selected amongst 2502 articles identified by our media monitoring system.

Most of last week's coverage mentioning CERN was related to ALPHA-g’s result on the influence of gravity on antimatter, and to ATLAS’s record measurement of the strong force. BBC covered ALPHA-g, and Jeffrey Hangst, spokesperson of ALPHA, was live on BBC on the day of the Nature publication: listen to his interview here.

On the 28 of September, the Press Office organized a press visit in the Science Gateway in partnership with the Geneva Tourism Office, and welcomed 20 local and international journalists. As you will see attached, most of the local journalists already published their articles.

Maximiliano Puccio, from ALICE, talked with a journalist from phys.org about a result on hypertriton. You will find the article attached.

Other mentions include HOP, the educational programme in partnership with the Agnelli Foundation and INFN, the art exhbition Dark Matter in Melbourne, and CERN astronaut Sławosz Uznański in Polish media.

We wish you a very nice week!

Kind regards,

The Press Team
