Justine Thebault-Weiser, a Grade 12 student at International School Basel created a documentary to raise awareness about the issue of gender inequality in STEM and also to get girls excited about STEM and confident in their ability to do well if they choose to follow this path. The documentary features our WIT SC member Erica! 

 

 

We are proud to read that two women colleagues, Sophie Baron and Giovanna Vandoni, have been newly elected to the Senior Staff Advisory Committee (“the Nine”) in 2023.

 

 

The 2023 Nobel prize in Physics was awarded jointly to Pierre Agostini, Ferenc Krausz and Anne L’Huillier "for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter”.

The Nobel Peace Prize was just awarded to the Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. She is also a former physics student and engineer!
