Women In Technology - Friday Links - 19/01/2024

Published on January 22, 2024

Hello everybody,

here is our selection of Friday links.

WIT activities

If you haven’t done so yet, please take note of our upcoming WIT annual review, on Thursday, February 1 at 12:00.  https://indico.cern.ch/event/1366692/

If your New Year’s resolution is to get more involved, this is a great opportunity to learn more about WIT and the volunteer opportunities that we offer, and to provide feedback on our activities.  We have also created a brief survey, which we invite you to complete here: https://forms.office.com/e/Qnzqjgc0B6.

This survey is anonymous; although you must log in with your CERN account, this will not be associated with your response.  Please reply to the survey no later than Friday, January 26 so that we can use your feedback as input to the annual review.

WIT has organized a workshop on 9 February from 17:00 to 21:00 where we will introduce impostor syndrome, including what it is and how it usually manifests. After an introductory talk, participants will split in small groups to do some hands-on exercises. The workshop is moderated by a group of senior colleagues who know the career impact that impostor syndrome may have and are willing to provide you with a safe space to share some experiences and learned lessons, as well as helping you to build a support network of colleagues.

All the details can be found in Indico: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1328290/

There are limited places (40), so register as soon as possible! If you can’t come in the end, please, let us know so we can free your place for someone else.
