As part of the larger CERN Alumni network, the purpose of the group is to connect like-minded individuals who share a deep-rooted interest in all things CERN. Whether you're seeking to forge new connections, exchange groundbreaking ideas, or simply reminisce about your time at CERN, the CERN Alumni Network and its groups serve as the perfect place for alumni to stay in touch, share valuable information, and swap awe-inspiring experiences.

Meet CERN Alumni Berlin Group Managers
Yara AlQuorashy
Yara AlQuorashy is a Software Engineer who was a 2019 summer student at the LHCb Computing group. She obtained her master’s degree in Computing Science at the university of Glasgow, graduating with distinction, before moving to Austria to spend a year as an Innovation team intern at the IAEA. She is now based in Berlin since October 2023, where she works as a Frontend Developer. Yara also co-managed the Vienna CERN Alumni group, and has been passionate about bringing CERN alumni together to spark new ideas or simply share their memories at CERN.
Rodrigo Bermudez Schettino
Rodrigo Bermudez Schettino, a DevOps Engineer at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from TU Berlin. During his postgraduate studies, he was a visiting student at EPFL and a CERN openlab Summer Student. Previously, Rodrigo worked as a Principal Software Engineer at a Singaporean startup, also teaching DevSecOps at NTU. Beyond work, he enjoys learning languages and contributing to open-source projects.
