Celebrating a milestone: CERN Alumni Network reaches 10 000 members
We are thrilled to announce that the CERN Alumni Network has reached a significant milestone, welcoming its 10,000th member on 8 July 2024. This achievement marks a momentous occasion for our community and underscores the global reach and impact of CERN alumni. Congratulations to summer student Giorgia Pittau for being our 10,000th member!
A brief history
The CERN Alumni Network was established 8 June 2017 with the primary goals of helping alumni stay connected, supporting those in their early careers, building a network of alumni ambassadors in support of CERN and its mission, and highlighting the positive impact of CERN alumni across the globe. Over the years, the network has grown, fostering a vibrant community of professionals dedicated to maintaining their connection with CERN and each other.
At the heart of the CERN Alumni Network is the CERN Alumni platform, https://alumni.cern. This dynamic platform is where all news, job opportunities and events are published, and where members can connect with each other through various features such as the community map, direct messaging, and regional, interest, student, and collaboration groups. It serves as the central hub for all our activities, ensuring that our members remain informed and engaged.

In honour of CERN's 70th anniversary, we are excited to announce an exclusive CERN Community event on 17 September from 18:00 to 22:00.
