We’re excited to launch a brand-new CERN Alumni Engagement Programme — designed to celebrate and recognise the incredible ways alumni contribute to the network, its members, and the Organization. And what better way to introduce this initiative than with a little adventure?

Welcome to the CERN Alumni Treasure Hunt!

✨ A New Way to Shine: CERN Alumni Engagement Badges

We’re unveiling a unique set of badges — inspired by particle physics — that you can earn and proudly display on your alumni profile. These badges reward engagement in three main categories:

• Volunteering – such as mentoring, speaking at events or providing other support at events.

• Communications – sharing your journey or updating your professional interests.

• Experiential Activities – from attending events to taking part in CERN-linked activities.

If you’ve ever supported the alumni network, helped a peer, or simply shared your story, there's likely a badge with your name on it!

We've hidden five special badges on the CERN Alumni platform — and your mission is to find them. Each clue below will point you in the right direction.

Once you've located all five, take a screenshot of each badge and send the following to [email protected]:

2. The names of the five badges

3. The pages where you found them on alumni.cern

🏆 The first ten detectives to complete the hunt will win a special prize!
📦 Don’t forget to update your postal address on alumni.cern — we’ll need it to send your reward!
