Dear all,
Please find below the media monitoring report for the period from the 14 July to 20 July 2025. These press cuttings have been selected from 1836 results identified by our media monitoring system.
Fabiola Gianotti was interviewed live by TV5 Monde on the 17 July, and the interview was then published on their YouTube.
LHCb’s first observation of matter-antimatter asymmetry in baryons was covered again by many outlets, as this result initially published in March 2025 was released in Nature last week. The STELLAR event was promoted by local media such as Radio Lac.
Several media covered the Irish government’s ratification of Ireland’s Associate Membership to CERN on the 15 July. Following a media visit organised by the Press Office, the Science Gateway is still being mentioned in Italian travel and tourism press.
Other mentions include the discovery of toponium and a possible new particle that could challenge or support string theory and be discovered in the LHC.
We wish you a great end of the week,
The Press Team
