Dear all,
Please find below the media monitoring report from 22 to 28 February. These press cuttings have been selected amongst 737 articles identified by our media monitoring system.
The media update published on the 5th February about the CLOUD experiment was still covered by multiple German and US outlets. Science Daily covered the experimental study undertaken at CLEAR following a publication on Nature Communications Physics and is about a radiotherapy technique which 'paints' tumours by targeting them precisely, and avoiding harming healthy tissue.
Radio Télévision Suisse has published an article about the “proximeters”: CERN’s innovative solution against coronavirus. CERN's heating transfer to homes in Ferney-Voltaire was still covered by local media.
A few media covered CERN’s submissions of Open Hardware License (OHL) family of licenses for consideration to the Open Source Initiative (OSI). Multiple media mentioned CERN and Tim Berners-Lee on February 26 on the occasion of the 30 years of web browsing. MSN UK included Higgs boson decay in the top space stories of the month. A few media published the new cooperation agreement between CERN and Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), KTU students will be able to participate in the Challenge-Based Innovation program organized by CERN’s IdeaSquare unit. Multiple Greek media covered the “Scientists for one day” masterclass that will present the use of Natural Science in Medical Therapy to more than 15,000 students.
We wish you a good weekend!
Kind regards,
The Alumni Relations and Press Team
