CERN in the media from 15/03/2021 to 21/03/2021

Mar 24, 2021

Dear all,

Please find below the media monitoring report from March 15 to March 21, 2021. These press cuttings have been selected amongst 566 articles identified by our media
monitoring system.
The media update announcing the discovery of the odderon by the TOTEM collaboration at the LHC, together with the DØ collaboration at the Tevatron collider at Fermilab has been covered by multiple outlets and the launch of a new Technology Impact Fund by CERN to bridge the gap between the technology developed for research at CERN and its potential applications to tackle societal challenges was also addressed in the media this week.

Forbes published an article that mentions particle accelerators including LHC and FCC and Le Monde addressed the theme of protons. The new results measured by AMS were also covered in the media this week.

Several media mentioned CERN and the LHC in articles about the first detection of a “Glashow Resonant Event” by researchers at the IceCube Neutrino Observatory in South Pole.

An article dedicated to Rhodri Jones was published on the BBC Wales website.

We wish you a very nice week!

Kind regards,
The Alumni Relations and Press Team
