Dear all,
Please find below the media monitoring report from 7 to 13 June. These press cuttings have been selected amongs 676 articles identified by our media monitoring system.
Fabiola Gianotti received the « Premio De Sanctis Europa », which was covered by various outlets.
Sébastien Masson from the Database Services Group shared CERN’s experience on working with the Cloud with a French media. Niels Tuning spoke to a Dutch journalist about LHCb’s latest results on muons.
Speaking about LHCb, the results on the D0 meson were well-covered this week. Various outlets also covered the announcements made at the Large Hadron Collider Physics conference by the ATLAS collaboration about their search on the mass of the W’ boson.
Other mentions include the superconducting cables of the High-Luminosity LHC Accelerator Upgrade Project, Arts at CERN’s new expo in Barcelona, Tim Berners-Lee’s birthday on the 8th of June, a potential accelerator that could be built on the moon to reach an energy level one thousand times higher than that of the LHC, and the latest results on cancer treatment from the CLEAR study. Futura Science dedicated an article to a possible LHC successor that could measure gravitational waves.
Kind regards,
The Alumni Relations and Press Team
