Dear all,
Please find below the media monitoring report from 9 to 15 August. These press cuttings have been selected amongst 727 articles identified by our media monitoring system.
On 12 August an article about CERN as an accelerator of local employment was published by the local media Le Pays Gessien. The article was based on an interview with Anna Cook from CERN's HR department and facilitated by the Press Office.
The visit of the Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations, Marcos Pontes, was covered by a range of different Brazilian media.
As in the media monitoring of last week, the LHCb's new tretraquark discovery was widely covered as well as the 30th birthday of the world's first website. Other mentions include the theoretical physicist and Nobel Prize winner Steven Weinberg who passed away on 23 July 2021.
Kind regards,
The Press Team
