Published on July 6, 2022

Dear all,

Please find below the media monitoring report from 27 June to 3 July 2022. These press cuttings have been selected amongst 1 189 articles identified by our media monitoring system.

The third run of the LHC and the 10th anniversary of the Higgs-Boson was widely covered across national and international media following the press briefing organised by the Press Office on 30 June.

The press release announcing the winners of the BL4S competition was widely covered by particularly Spanish media; BBC World Service published the radio programme Faith in Science organised in collaboration with the Press Office; the ALICE experiment’s observation of the dead-cone effect was covered in international media and the CineGlobe festival was covered by the local newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré.

Other mentions include an article about LGBTQ+ scientists between success and discrimination in Deutsche Welle and CERN partnering with ABB to reduce energy waste.

We wish you all a great week.

Kind regards, the Press Office.
