Women In Technology - Friday Links - 22/07/2022
Hello everybody,
I think it is time to leave our laptop and tools at home and disconnect a bit for a summer vacation!
We will do the same with the Friday links as the next ones before a month break will be next week.
For the moment, here is our selection of Friday links!
If interested, take note of the open call for internships in the DFG funded Research Training Group, Rethinking Quantum Field Theory at HU Berlin, for master students and advanced bachelor students who identify as women.
The group consists of researchers from many areas of quantum field theory including: scattering amplitudes, phenomenology, lattice field theory, AdS/CFT correspondence, gravitational waves, and mathematical aspects of QFT. This 3-month internship will give students an opportunity to work closely with a mentor from the group and will provide financial support of 450 EUR/mo plus up to 200 EUR for travel to Berlin. Application deadline for starting this October is August 1. Details on how to apply can be found here.
There are many interesting events organised by CERN this summer:
The CERN webfest from 8 July till 31 August. https://home.cern/events/cern-webfest-2022
It is good to hear that some companies are going forward with the possibility of implementing the period leave https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-62041609
We wish you a super fun weekend!
