CERN in the media from 03/10/2022 to 09/10/2022

Published on October 10, 2022

Dear all,

Please find below the media monitoring report from 3 to 9 October, 2022. These press cuttings have been selected amongst 630 articles identified by our media monitoring system.

This week, several outlets mentioned the decisions taken by CERN Council to reduce the energy consumption of the Laboratory, including an interview of Malika Meddahi in Le Dauphine Libéré.

Following an interview of Katy Foraz last June, the French magazine Comment ça marche published an in-depth article about the LHC restart.

Other mentions this week include several articles on the Nobel prize of physics, quoting John Bell and his work while he was at CERN; the FCC movie “Way beyond” listed in La tribune de Geneve as one of the movies to watch this week; the participation of CERN in the Big Science Business Forum last week in Grenada; pictures of Armin Linke, guest artist at CERN; a book written by CERN physicist Javier Santaolalla explaining different scientific concepts; and an interview of Michel Spiro on the links between physics and music.

We wish you a very nice week !

Kind regards,

The Press Team
