CERN in the media from 04/04/2022 to 10/04/2022

Published on April 13, 2022

Dear all,

Please find below the media monitoring report from 4 to 10 April 2022. These press cuttings have been selected amongst 1307 articles identified by our media monitoring system.

This week, Fabiola is listed in the top 10 Italian women to take inspiration from. The Wall Street Journal published an article about the restart of the LHC, for which serval persons have been interviewed, including Mike Lamont and Rende Steerenberg (article attached).

The LHCb media update published last Thursday on antimatter received some coverage in specialised and general outlet.

The BBC and the French daily newspaper La Croix covered the CDF result on the W boson mass measurement. Their articles include interviews with CERN physicists.

Serge Claudet was interviewed by Le Dauphiné Libéré about CERN's consumption of energy and Wired Italy published a piece on the magnets of the HL-LHC, in the wake of a visit from the journalist on site.

Other mentions this week include an in-depth article on LHCb's work, the meeting of the Swiss Federal Council at CERN, and Brazil becoming Associate Member States.

We wish you a very nice week!

Kind regards,

The Press Team
