Dear WIT Friends,

Everything is back to normal finally and we are able to enjoy our CERN spring events again!
And which are they?

1. Bike to Work

2. CERN Relay Race

Especially, if you are a newcomer, don't lose the opportunity to live these experiences which bring CERN people together! Find your team and apply!

Women in Sports

Unfortunately though, gender inequality exists in the sports field as well.

Different salaries, very few women in leadership positions in national sports governing bodies, different roles, etc

The following toolkit has been developed as part of the European Union(EU) and Council of Europe joint Project:

ALL IN: towards gender balance in sport

Also, you can find the Gender Equality & Inclusion Report of 2021

But despite all the obstacles that our female athletes had to face, they managed to succeed in many different sports and categories and make us proud.

Here it is just a small list of some of these great women within the last decades:

Mother's day

Being a mother is the toughest job and especially if it is combined with a career.

They have to keep their professional and family life balanced which is one of the most difficult tasks.

But which is the story behind this day?

History of Mother's day

One of the biggest companies worldwide, McKinsey, had made different researches the last 2 years about motherhood and career:

For mothers in the workplace a year like no other
