What memories do you have from the 4 July 2012 announcement of the discovery of the Higgs boson?

"The excitement and smiles on everyone around CERN the whole day. That day I was running around and I bumped into someone, and then I turned and said sorry, and when I saw the person was Peter Higgs. I remember thinking I should have said thank you instead of sorry. "

What is your best memory of working at CERN?

"I loved having to do shifts at the CMS control room underground. I was always learning so much, and you could feel the whole collaboration working together. "

What skills did you develop during your CERN work experience which have been particularly useful in your subsequent career trajectory?

" I learned to be conscious of cultural differences, and adapting my communication style in that context helped me to have strong collaboration and work efficiently everywhere."
