Celebrating Five Years of Growing and Giving Back

Five years ago in June 2017, the CERN Alumni Network was launched with the goals of :

• Enabling former Members of Personnel to stay connected to the Organization and its people, 
• Demonstrating the positive impact of a professional experience at CERN on society,
• Building a network of ambassadors in support of CERN's mission, 
• Supporting those in their early careers if and when they decide to leave the Organization.

Over the past five years, the CERN Alumni Community has grown from zero to over 7, 750 active members. To celebrate this year's special anniversary a LinkedIn live was hosted from the CERN Control Centre (CCC) featuring CERN Alumni and CERN people, covering topics ranging from MedTech, CERN alumni groups, the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development and Run3, with the overarching theme of celebrating those alumni who are supporting each other and CERN's mission.
